The Young Messengers of Hawaii

The Hawaii: Next 50 Contest challenges local youth to become stakeholders in our state's future by considering what we can do to make Hawaii the best place to live, work, and play.

All Hawaii students in Grades 4 - 12 are invited to present their vision for the future Hawaii through an essay, poster, or video submission. As part of Hawaii: Next 50, all entrants will receive a copy of former Governor George R. Ariyoshi’s book, Hawaii: The Past Fifty Years, The Next Fifty Years (Watermark Publishing, 2009).

Winning entries will be awarded prizes and appear on www.hawaiinext50.com.
